Marko Bacak (born November 14, 1995 in Berlin ) is a German - Croatian basketball player. He has been part of the Wiha Panthers Schwenningen squad since 2019 .

Player career

Bacak was born in Berlin . His basketball club career began at the age of 15, he played in the youth team of Basketball Berlin Süd , and in the 2013/14 season for the then DBV Charlottenburg / TuS Lichterfelde team in the men's team (first regional league). In the 2014/15 season he wore the shirt of Alba Berlin's second team in the first regional league.

Bacak, who took on German citizenship in August 2015, switched to Bundesliga club EWE Baskets Oldenburg for the 2015/16 season , initially primarily in the EWE Baskets Akademie Weser-Ems / Oldenburger TB 2. Bundesliga ProB  . In March 2016 he made his debut in the basketball league against Crailsheim . By the end of the 2018/19 season, he played 52 Bundesliga games for Lower Saxony and moved south during the 2019 summer break after agreeing on a contract with second division Wiha Panthers Schwenningen at the end of June . In July 2020, the Bayer Giants Leverkusen announced the center's commitment to the ProA for the 2020/21 season.

National team

Bacak participated with the Croatian youth national team in the summer of 2014 and in the summer of 2015 in the U20 European Championship.
