Marko Riegel

Marko Riegel (born September 4, 1974 in Bad Schwartau ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Riegel played in his youth at VfL Bad Schwartau before he moved to 1. FC Phönix Lübeck . There he was selected for the state of Schleswig-Holstein and was even appointed to the extended squad of the DFB junior teams. In 1991 he won the state championship with the B-youth and took part in the German championship with Phoenix Lübeck. This was followed by promotion to the Oberliga Nord for A-Juniors. Subsequently, Riegel moved to Hamburger SV . He first played in the amateur team, then received a professional contract and made 9 appearances in two years.

After that, Riegel turned his back on professional sports. He plays for FC Schönberg today .
