Markos II (Jerusalem)
Markos II was the Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem (after 1059/70 - before 1084).
There is no further information about himself.
In his time, the Christians in Jerusalem had to adjust to the new conditions under the Turkish Seljuks , who had ruled Jerusalem since 1071. In 1081 the Byzantine Emperor Alexios I Komnenos confiscated church property from the area of the Patriarchate.
