Daniel Israel
Daniel Israel (* 1859 in Vienna ; † April 24, 1901 there ) was an Austrian painter .
Daniel Israel first worked as a businessman, studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna from 1878 to 1882 , and from 1882 to 1885 at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under Johann Caspar Herterich and Otto Seitz .
In 1885 he made a trip to the Orient through the Balkans , Turkey , Palestine and Egypt , where he made preliminary drawings for pictures to be painted later in the Munich studio. He was assigned to the group of "Munich fine and small painters". He painted landscapes, cityscapes and genre pictures.
In the period from 1893 to 1899 he exhibited his works at exhibitions in Vienna, Budapest and in the Munich Glass Palace .
He spent the last two years of his life insane in a Viennese sanatorium.
