Market hall (Pellegrue)
The market hall in Pellegrue , a French commune in the Gironde department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was built between 1909 and 1913. In 2015, the market hall at Place du 8 May 1945 was added to the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique .
The market hall, which already had wooden predecessors, was built by the Frères Boyer company according to plans by the architect Auguste Bontemps from Bordeaux . The supporting element are the cast iron supports . The skylight is unusually high for the size of the hall.
In 1979, the citizens of Pellegrue decided in a referendum to keep the market hall, which was then extensively renovated.
