The covered market in Grenade , a French commune in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitanie region , was built between 1582 and 1593. The market hall on the Place de la Halle has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique since 1979 .

The almost rectangular market hall with the dimensions of 72 × 74 meters has a three-storey construction made of chestnut wood, which is crowned by a roof turret. The wooden structure is supported by 36 brick pillars. The pyramid roof consists of three levels and ends with the roof turret.

The first floor, which is no longer closed with wooden boards, originally served as a granary. It could be reached via wooden ladders. The large room on the same floor (see photo on the right) served the council as a meeting place.
