Marktplatz 16 in Bad Kissingen.

The Marktplatz 16 building in Bad Kissingen , the major district town of the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen , is located on the town’s market square . It is one of the Bad Kissingen architectural monuments and is registered in the Bavarian Monument List under the number D-6-72-114-61 .

history

The three-storey side eaves building was built at the end of the 18th century and was thus part of the old marketplace development. The drilled and fascinated window frames date from the Baroque period .

The later added Wilhelminian style - dormer windows and Art Nouveau openings on the ground floor show that the property housed wine bars at the transition from the 19th to the 20th century. The Altdeutsche Weinstube was located there until 1964. Later a Wienerwald branch was located in the property . After they closed, another restaurant was opened there.
