Markus Büning

Markus B. Büning (born February 6, 1966 in Ahaus ) is a Catholic publicist, lawyer and theologian .

Life

From 1985 to 1990 he studied Catholic theology and philosophy in Münster and Munich . After graduating, he studied law at the Universities of Konstanz and Münster and received his doctorate in law in 2001 in Münster . After working as an assistant at the Universities of Konstanz and Münster, he joined the administration as a lawyer. From 2004 to 2010 he was first alderman of the city of Gronau (Westphalia) and there general representative of the mayor. In his function he was responsible for board area 3 - youth and family, social affairs, work, school and sport as well as culture. He has been a part-time member of the judicial examination office at the Hamm Higher Regional Court since 2005, where he examines public law in the first state examination. In 2014 he started his work as a writer focusing on the field of hagiography . Since then he has also published theological articles and essays in various Catholic media.
