Markus Dau (born February 13, 1982 in Stralsund ) is a German handball trainer , managing director of a GmbH and handball player .

Dau began playing handball at TSV 1860 Stralsund (formerly BSG Motor Stralsund), from which the Stralsund HV (SHV) emerged, where he also began his career in paid sports. The 1.96 meter long runner was active at Stralsund AG until the end of the first division season 2003/2004 . In the 2004/2005 season Dau ran for HSV Blau Weiß Insel Usedom in the 2nd Bundesliga , North Season, and in the 2005/2006 season in the South for ThSV Eisenach . He then played at HSV Peenetal Loitz .

For the 2009/2010 season he was initially committed to the Stralsund HV again, but this obligation was withdrawn due to the license withdrawal for the Stralsunder HV after the operator GmbH went bankrupt; Markus Dau returned to the Stralsund AGM for the 2009/2010 season. With this club, the circle runner with the number 13 won the state championship title in the then Oberliga Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and achieved promotion to the 3rd division . Since then he has been active for the Stralsund AG. He also worked in the association's office.

On January 27, 2016, Markus Dau also took over the management of "SHV Handball GmbH", which is responsible for the maintenance, administration and promotion of the first men's team at Stralsund AG, which takes part in the games of the German Handball Federation. In July 2016, he also took over as coach.
