Markus Einan (born February 4, 1997 in Sørumsand ) is a Norwegian middle-distance runner who specializes in the 800-meter run .

Athletic career

Markus Einan gained his first international experience in 2015 when he reached the semi-finals at the Junior European Championships in Eskilstuna and was eliminated there with 1: 55.53 minutes. The following year he failed at the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz with 1: 53.61 min in the first round and in 2018 he took part in the European Championships in Berlin , but also retired there with 1: 48.55 min in the preliminary round. In 2019 he retired from the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow and retired there with 1: 49.14 minutes in the first round. He then finished seventh at the U23 European Championships in Gävle in 1: 49.79 minutes.

In 2019 Einan became Norwegian indoor champion in the 800-meter run.
