Markus Karp

Markus Karp (born March 13, 1966 in Wolfsburg ) is a German politician and member of the CDU . He works as a professor at the Technical University of Wildau (TH Wildau).

Life

The doctorate Karp was from 1999 to 2004 professor for business administration , marketing , communication and service management at the TH Wildau . From October 2004 to December 2005 he was State Secretary in the Ministry for Science, Research and Culture of the State of Brandenburg .

He was campaign manager for the CDU in the mayoral election in Wolfsburg in 2001 and head of the CDU campaign team in Lower Saxony in the state elections in 2003, which led to the takeover of government by Prime Minister Christian Wulff .

Markus Karp was elected to the commercial director of Stadtwerke Wolfsburg AG on November 25, 2005 , and was already a member of its supervisory board. At the same time, he was the managing director of several subsidiaries, including the Wolfsburg energy and water supplier LSW and Wolfsburg Verkehrs GmbH . He took up his board position on January 1, 2006. At the same time he resigned from the Wolfsburg City Council.

In September 2010 Karp was publicly accused by the former press spokesman Maik Nahrstedt of taking and granting advantages. After investigations by the Braunschweig public prosecutor's office began , Karp suspended his post on the board and left the company on December 31, 2010. The indictment brought against Markus Karp following the investigation by the public prosecutor's office was not admitted to the main hearing by the responsible regional court due to a lack of suspicion. The public prosecutor's office has also withdrawn the complaint it had initially lodged against the non-admission. The allegations against Markus Kap therefore did not apply.

Markus Karp has been working again as a professor at TH Wildau since leaving the municipal utility. He writes as a guest author for the Axis of the Good . as well as for the magazine Cicero . and other magazines such as Magdeburg Kompakt .
