Markus Marquardt (* 1970 in Düsseldorf ) is a German opera singer ( bass baritone ).

Life

The bass-baritone Markus Marquardt studied singing with Werner Lechte at the Robert Schumann University in Düsseldorf . His first permanent engagement took him to the Stuttgart State Opera , where he was successful as Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte and Colline in La Bohème .

In 2000 he moved to the Semperoper in Dresden as a soloist , where he took over a. a. the Mozart repertoire with roles such as Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro , Papageno in Die Zauberflöte and sang a. a. the important Italian specialist parties, such as B.
