Markus Schimpp (born May 29, 1964 in Augsburg ) is a German pianist , composer , presenter and stage artist.

Life

Markus Schimpp studied music at the Leopold Mozart Conservatory in his native Augsburg . After his exams (state piano qualification, music teacher for piano and oboe) he began working as a stage artist. Since then he has performed solo programs in Germany and Switzerland, including a. in the Hansa-Theater (Hamburg) , in the Wintergarten (Varieté) in Berlin , in the Variété Friedrichsbau (Stuttgart) , in the Tigerpalast Frankfurt am Main , in Roncalli's Apollo- Varieté in Düsseldorf . Since 2004 he has also designed programs with the soprano Christine Gogolin ; as a duo they call themselves “Pink Moll” and have won cabaret awards. Markus Schimpp composes stage music, chansons, film music and for piano solo. In addition, he sets silent films to music and accompanies them live on the piano. His composition for diabolo, piano and orchestra was performed in January 2012 at the Munich Philharmonic, at Roncalli's "Circus meets Classic". Markus Schimpp lived in Berlin from 1999 to 2004 ; today he lives in Bonn .
