Markus Solbach

Markus Solbach (born August 26, 1991 in Dormagen ) is a German baseball player . The right-handed pitcher is also active for the German national baseball team . He currently plays for Adelaide Bite in the Australian Baseball League .

Career

Solbach's baseball career started with the Pulheim Gophers , where he played as a pitcher until 2011 before signing a professional contract with the Minnesota Twins . From 2011 to 2016 Solbach was active for the Minnesota Twins and the Arizona Diamondbacks in the minor leagues . Solbach played several seasons in the Australian Baseball League : in the 2011/12 season he played for the Melbourne Aces , in the 2013/14 season for the Sydney Blue Sox . He played for Adelaide Bite in the 2018/19 ABL season . On January 3, 2019, Solbach signed a professional contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Markus Solbach is an active player in the German national baseball team . He played for the national team in the Super 6 2018 .

In the 2018 Bundesliga season he led his regular team, the Bonn Capitals , as the best pitcher to their first German championship.
