Marlies Grötzinger

Marlies Grötzinger (* 1959 in Laupheim ) is a German writer and Swabian dialect poet.

Life

Marlies Grötzinger grew up in Schwendi - Bußmannshausen and now lives in the Upper Swabian Burgrieden . The graduate in administrative management (FH) works in the field of public relations at the Biberach district office and as a writer.

Since 1987 she has been writing stories, glosses and poems in Upper Swabian dialect . Since then she has published a CD and several books of her own with various publishers in newspapers, magazines, anthologies, on the radio. She is involved in several dialect associations and helps as a calendar maker to keep the Upper Swabian language alive.

In autumn 2014 she ventured into new territory: she published her first novel with the Robert Gessler Friedrichshafen publishing house, entitled Seenot - Schwarzer Sonntag am Bodensee .

Awards

  • In 2013 she was awarded the Baden-Württemberg Home Medal by the Baden-Württemberg Minister for Science, Research and Art for “outstanding services to the homeland”.
