Marloes Coenen

Marloes Coenen (born March 31, 1981 in Olst ) is a Dutch mixed martial arts fighter . In October 2009 she was runner-up in the WAMMA Women's Rankings in the women's featherweight division.

Career

Coenen started her MMA career in 2000. Much of her career was spent in Japan for promoters like ReMix and Shooto . She met Erin Toughill and Roxanne Modafferi, among others . In late 2009, she went to Strikeforce , where she first beat Modafferi and then lost a title fight against Cristiane Santos in January 2010 . In October she beat Sarah Kaufmann for the Womens Welterweight Belt and defended it against Liz Carmouche in March 2011. So she achieved a competition record of 19 wins and four losses.
