Marmozets are a British rock band whose debut album The Weird and Wonderful Marmozets was released in the fall of 2014. Influences from math rock , post hardcore and post punk are attributed to their music.

Band history

The band was formed in 2007 in Bingley, West Yorkshire , England , from the siblings Becca (vocals), Sam (bass, guitar), and Josh Macintyre (drums), as well as Jack Bottomley (guitar) and Joe Doherty (guitar), the latter later replaced by Will Bottomley (bass). The band members were between 13 and 16 years old at the time and attended the same school.

After many appearances, winning various band competitions and first mostly self-published works, including the EP Vexed , which was praised by Kerrang , Marmozets signed a contract with Roadrunner Records in 2013 .

Their new label first released a single called Move, Shake, Hide . In 2014, Why Do You Hate Me? and Captivate You . In September 2014, The Weird and Wonderful Marmozets, the band's first full album, came out. On Metacritic , the work reached a score of 86/100 and in their home country in 25th place in the charts.

In 2017 the singles Play and Habits were released , both extracts from their second album Knowing What You Know Now , which was released on January 26, 2018.
