The marohita mouse lemur ( Microcebus marohita ) is a northern Madagascar living primate species from the genus of mouse lemurs ( Microcebus ) within the family of lemurs (Cheirogaleidae). The type locality and so far the only known distribution area of ​​the species described in 2013 is the Marohita forest at an altitude of 695 meters in the province of Antsiranana . Their way of life has not yet been explored. The specific epithet marohita refers to the native forest region of the species.

Marohita mouse lemurs are among the larger representatives of their genus and reach overall lengths of 27.5 to 28.6 cm, with a tail length of 13.3 to 14.5 cm and a weight of up to 89 g. The hind feet are noticeably long with a length of 3.4 to 3.5 cm, the ears with a length of 1.8 to 1.9 cm are rather short. The fur of the back consists of dense, soft and relatively long hair that is two-tone red-brown and yellow-brown to olive-colored and has a poorly visible eel line that extends behind the shoulders to the base of the tail. The undercoat of the back is black-gray. The chest and stomach are gray-beige with a dark gray undercoat. The middle of the abdomen and chest are beige to whitish. The ears and the top of the head are sienna colored . The fur between the eyes is whitish to light pink. The tail is covered with short hair. The section of the tail towards the body (approx. 75% of the length) is brownish on the upper side and cinnamon-colored to clayey on the underside. A sharp line separates the top and bottom. The tip of the tail is the color of raw umber . The tops of the hands and feet are covered with short, white-grayish fur.

The type specimen has a total length of 28.6 cm with a head-torso length of 14 cm and a weight of 89 g. The hind foot is 3.5 cm long, the ear 1.9 cm. The skull is 3.54 cm long, 1.52 cm high and 2.25 cm wide (from cheekbone to cheekbone). The incisors are 2.2 mm high, the molars are 2.3 mm high.
