Marshal of the Royal Air Force

Marshal of the Royal Air Force is the highest rank in the British Royal Air Force . His Army and Navy counterparts are the Field Marshal and the Admiral of the Fleet . The NATO rank code is OF-10.

The rank is only awarded in exceptional cases in times of peace. Most of the porters were Chief of the Defense Staff or Chief of the Air Staff shortly before their retirement or members of the royal family.
