Marshawn Powell (born January 15, 1990 in Newport News , Virginia , USA ) is an American basketball player .
career
From 2009 to 2013 Powell played at the University of Arkansas for the Arkansas Razorbacks.
In 2013 he signed up for the NBA Draft , but was not selected.
The power forward played for one season at Ferro-ZNTU Zaporozhye in Ukraine and in 2014 for Pieno Zvaigzdes in Lithuania.
From 2014 to 2016 he went to Italy for the first time, where he played for Universo Treviso Baskets .
In the 2016/2017 season he strengthened the squad of first division team Würzburg . During his time in southern Germany, he averaged 9.5 points and 4.4 rebounds per encounter.
The 201 cm tall forward moved back to Italy and played first for Violo Reggio Calabria and then for Poderosa Basket Montegranaro in 2017 . In 2018 he signed with the Italian second division team Amici Pallacenestro Udine and was able to achieve an average of 15.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.
In 2019, the father of three was signed by the German first division club Hamburg Towers .
