Universo Treviso Basket is an Italian basketball club from Treviso , in the Serie A play.
history
The club was founded in 2012 as the Treviso Basket 2012 after Benetton Treviso withdrew from the professional field . After two seasons in the amateur field, in which some former players from Benetton Treviso also played for the new club, the license for the second highest Italian division, the A2 series , was acquired for the 2013/14 season . With the return to the professional field, the club accepted the Universo Treviso Basket . In the first season of 2014/15 in the A2 Silver series, they took first place in the main round, but were eliminated in the play-offs in the quarter-finals. In the following seasons, too, they made it into play-offs even if they were unable to get into the finals for promotion to Serie A.
In the 2018/19 season not only succeeded in winning the first title in the club's history with winning the cup competition Coppa Italia Lega Nazionale Basket , which took place in Serie A2 and Serie B , but also the sporting promotion to Serie A after they had against the play-off final Orlandina Basket won 3-0.
