Martín Caparrós
Martín Caparrós (born May 29, 1957 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine journalist and writer.
Life
Martín Caparrós was born to the psychiatrist Antonio Caparrós and his wife María. He completed his school days at the Colegio Nacional in his hometown. His first literary attempts also come from this time.
In 1973 he started working as a journalist for the Noticias newspaper . When the military led by General Jorge Rafael Videla came to power in Argentina in 1976 , Caparrós fled into exile in France. He went to Paris and studied history there at the Sorbonne . He later continued his studies at the University of Madrid .
It was only when the rule of the Argentine military junta came to an end in 1983 that Caparrós returned to his home country. He settled as a writer in Buenos Aires. Three of his novels, Valfierno , We were wrong and Die Ewigen have been published in German translation. Caparrós also became known for his radio and television work. Together with the journalist Eduardo Anguita, he published the multi-volume work La voluntad in 2006 . Una historia de la militancia revolucionaria en la Argentina .
