Marta Kos Marko (* 1965 ) is a Slovenian diplomat .

Life

She graduated with a degree in journalism and in 1988 a master's degree in Political Science - American Studies from the University of Ljubljana . Marta Kos Marko worked for Deutsche Welle in Cologne from 1990 to 1993 . In 1997 she became government spokeswoman for the Slovenian government until 1999 when she took over the press and public relations work of the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce. In 2000 she became Vice President for International Relations of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ljubljana . From 2003 she worked as director and co-owner of the company Gustav Käser Training International , which is active in the field of management consulting .

On September 27, 2013, she became the Slovenian Ambassador to Germany based in the Slovenian Embassy in Berlin . In 2016 she was named Ambassador of the Year by Diplomatic Magazine . In September 2017 she moved to Switzerland as an ambassador based in Bern .
