Martha Eibl

Martha Eibl (* 1931 in Székesfehérvár , Hungary) is a Hungarian-Austrian physician and immunologist.

Martha Eibl received her doctorate from the medical faculty of the University of Vienna . A postdoctoral fellowship at New York University Medical School followed. From 1970 to 1997 she worked at the Institute for Immunology at the University of Vienna. In 1980 she was appointed university professor for immunology. From 1966 until the takeover by Baxter International , she was head of immunological and clinical-immunological research at Immuno AG .

Since 1986 she has headed the Immunological Day Clinic and Biomedical Research Institute in Vienna. Her specialty includes clinical immunology, particularly primary immunodeficiencies and infection immunology. Martha Eibl is one of the leading immunologists in Austria today, she is the author of numerous specialist publications.

She is married to the chemist Johann Eibl , a founder of Immuno AG.
