Marthinus Theunissen

Marthinus Theunissen ( Marthinus Wilhelminus S. Theunissen; born May 13, 1911 in Standerton , † July 1983) was a South African sprinter .

In 1934 he won silver over 100 yards and 220 yards at the British Empire Games in London . At the Olympic Games in 1936 he reached the quarter-finals over 100 m and the semi-finals over 200 m ; in the 4 x 100 meter relay , he retired with the South African team in the preliminary run.
