The Martin-Niemöller-Kirche is a Protestant church building in Nuremberg-Langwasser and the only church with this name. It is named after the Protestant pastor and concentration camp inmate Martin Niemöller .

history

Construction was 1985/86, designed by Eberhard Schunck built and Dieter Ullrich and on December 7, 1986, together with the Roman Catholic church building of St. Maximilian Kolbe in Nuremberg district Langwasser inaugurated. The buildings are part of an ecumenical center , the church center Langwasser .

Specialty

The uniqueness of the name of this church led to the appearance of the stamp on January 9, 1992 for the 100th birthday of Martin Niemöller, that the first day cover was provided with an architect's drawing of the Martin-Niemöller-Kirche.
