Martin Oexle

Martin Öxle (* 1949 ) is a German chef .

Career

After completing his training, he went to Stuttgart in 1980 and switched to the "top air" restaurant at Stuttgart Airport in 1984, which was the first restaurant in the world to be awarded a Michelin star in 1989 and is now run by Öxle's former sous-chef Claudio Urru .

In 1993, Öxle moved to the "Speisemeisterei" restaurant in Hohenheim Palace , a cavalier building that was used as a cafeteria from 1818 . Here, too, he received first one, and then the second Michelin star in 1996. This made the Speisemeisterei one of the 12 best restaurants in Germany for ten years. At the end of 2007 he handed over the "Speisemeisterei" to Frank Oehler .

Öxle published a cookbook and until March 2009 managed the bistro "Ecco" in the SI-Centrum Stuttgart and then the catering of the casino located there.
