Martin Anthamatten
Martin Anthamatten (born September 12, 1984 in Zermatt ) is a Swiss ski mountaineer . He has two brothers, Simon and Samuel, who also work as mountaineers and share his passion. Until 2005, Anthamatten also played ice hockey at National League B level. He has been a member of the Swiss national alpine skiing team since 2007 .
Successes (selection)
- 2007:
- 1st place and record time in the 6th Zermatt-Rothorn mountain race
- 1st place of the juniors at the Swiss championship in Grindelwald
- 4th place at the European Championship Ski Mountaineering Long Distance Individual Race, Avoriaz-Morzine
- 6th place at the European Vertical Race Championship
- 2008:
- 2nd place world championship ski mountaineering relay (with Bruchez , Florent Troillet and Didier Moret )
- 4th place at the Patrouille des Glaciers (with Ernest Farquet and Jon Andri Willy )
- 8th place at the World Cup ski mountaineering, Val d'Aran
- 2010:
- 1st place Patrouille des Glaciers 2010 (with Florent Troillet and Yannick Ecoeur ) with a course record .
