Martin Blümcke
Martin Blümcke (born July 6, 1935 in Sorau , Niederlausitz) is a German journalist and local researcher.
Career
Blümcke studied German, ethnology and history in Tübingen from 1955 to 1965 . In 1966 he came to the Süddeutscher Rundfunk as a radio editor and was head of the “Land und Menschen” editorial team from 1970 to 1998. He retired in 2000.
In addition to his professional activity, he wrote several local and regional studies books and writings, including on the Swabian-Alemannic Carnival . In 1975 he became a member of the board of the Swabian Homeland Federation , in 1983 deputy chairman and in 1991 chairman. In 1983 he was also the editor-in-chief and publisher of the Schwäbische Heimat magazine . From 1980 to 2001 he was chairman of the operating association of the carnival museum “ Narrenschopf ” in Bad Dürrheim.
He has lived in Laufenburg since 2000 and took over the office of city archivist there in 2004.
