Martin Brugger (fusion musician)

Martin Brugger (* around 1990 ) is a German fusion musician (bass, guitar, keyboards) and music producer ; in the field of electronic music he is known as Occupanther .

Brugger already played guitar and electric bass as a schoolboy in the Munich indie band This Is the Arrival , with whom he released the album A Million Kicks after their debut of the same name in 2012 . With Occupanther , he released the album Chimera in 2014 . He also maintains an electro-acoustic duo with Carlos Cipa ; with drummer Simon Popp he plays in the duo distance ( Opek 2018). He studied jazz bass at the Munich University of Music until 2016. He also composed film and commercial music.

With his fusion band Fazer , Brugger was a finalist in the European Burghauser Young Talent Award in 2017 . In 2018 he received the BMW Welt Young Artist Jazz Award .

In 2018 he produced the piece drone for Jules Werner.
