Martin Buchholz (singer-songwriter)

Martin Buchholz, (* 1966 ) is a German television journalist , theologian , songwriter , musician , cabaret artist and author .

Live and act

Buchholz initially studied Protestant theology at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and graduated in 1996 from his master's degree .

In the 1990s he appeared in the musical cabaret group Quodlibet . Today he works as a songwriter and author as well as a filmmaker of television documentaries for ARD and ZDF , and gives his own concerts.

His faith can be found above all in his musical works and is of great importance in them. Martin Buchholz also often sings about moments from simple life, so that everyone, regardless of their religious beliefs, can find themselves in his works. For example, he accompanied the retired secretary Edith Libbert from 2005 until her death. He documented this in his documentary "Days with a Gold Edge", which is about life, memories, old age and death. A book and a CD were also published.

He is married and lives with his wife near Cologne .
