Martin Döring (administrative lawyer)

Martin Döring (born March 30, 1924 in Lower Saxony ) is a German lawyer and administrative officer .

Life

Martin Döring, son of a businessman, took part in the Second World War as a soldier from 1942 and was most recently taken prisoner, from which he was released in 1945. He studied law from 1946 to 1948, passed the first state examination in 1948 and the second state examination in 1952, and obtained his doctorate in law in 1949 . In 1953 he joined the North Rhine-Westphalian financial administration as a financial assessor and subsequently worked at the Herford tax office , the Minden tax office and the Münster tax office . At the Minden tax office he worked as a department manager. In 1954 he was appointed government assessor and in 1955 a councilor.

Döring, a member of the SPD , switched to the Ministry of Finance of North Rhine-Westphalia as a civil servant in 1960 . In 1961 he was appointed senior government councilor, in 1965 government director, 1966 ministerial councilor, 1968 leading ministerial councilor and 1969 ministerial director. From October 1, 1970 until he entered temporary retirement in January 1980, he was State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance.
