Oberfinanzdirektion Münster
The Oberfinanzdirektion Münster was the Oberfinanzdirektion (OFD) for Westphalia based in Münster . In mid-2013, the merger with the regional tax office of Rhineland was carried out to form the state-wide regional tax office of North Rhine-Westphalia . The office of the new OFD NRW is Münster, until mid-April 2016 at the location of the former OFD Münster, since then in the new building at Albersloher Weg 250. Another - equivalent - office of the OFD NRW is located in Cologne at the location of the former OFD Rhineland.
From 2005 until his retirement , the authority was headed by Chief Finance President Hans-Georg Grigat.

Until 1966, the authority had its seat in the building on the corner property Warendorfer Straße / Hohenzollernring, which was built 1912–1914 for the then Oberfinanz- und Oberzolldirektion Münster in the neo-baroque style. It is a listed building and is used today by the construction and property management of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia , the customs and the tax office for large and group audits in Münster. The Münster-Innenstadt tax office had a branch in the building until the end of 2013.
The OFD had been located in the east of Münster since 1966, in a 150-meter-long administration building on Andreas-Hofer-Strasse. The construction was planned by the Düsseldorf architects Hentrich , Petschnigg und Partner ( HPP ) . Due to PCB pollution, this building could no longer be used. After the authorities moved to Albersloher Weg in 2016, the building was gutted and demolished in January 2017.
In July 2013, construction began on a new administration building in the Münster- Loddenheide industrial park , Albersloher Weg / Martin-Luther-King-Weg. The move took place in mid-April 2016. In addition to the regional tax office in North Rhine-Westphalia, the tax office for large and group audits in Münster, the tax office for criminal tax matters and tax investigations and the Münster branch of the state office for salaries and supplies in North Rhine-Westphalia are located in the new building.
