The Oberfinanzdirektion Nordrhein-Westfalen (abbreviated: OFD) carries out the state-wide tasks in the area of tax assessment and collection and exercises the technical supervision of around 130 tax offices in the state. In addition, the construction department oversees civil and military construction measures by the federal government , the guest forces , NATO and third-party construction measures that are carried out by the branches of the North Rhine-Westphalia construction and property company on an operational level.

Locations

The Oberfinanzdirektion Nordrhein-Westfalen has two equal locations: the Münster office (until mid-April 2016 in the former OFD Münster , since then in the new building at Albersloher Weg 250) and the Cologne office (in the former OFD Rhineland). There are also two branch offices in Düsseldorf.
