Martin Daske
Martin Daske (* 1962 in Berlin ) is a German composer , audio artist and radio play maker .
Life
Daske received his compositional training in the USA at Dartmouth College with Christian Wolff (composer) , in Kraków and at the Mozarteum Salzburg with Bogusław Schaeffer . In addition to his “normal” compositional work (eg: “where: against: if” (2016) for singers, ensembles and electronics), Daske developed two forms of three-dimensional notation (“folios” and “notation”). 2002 Founding of the duo “Die Klangschürfer” with the language artist Rainer Rudloff. Author of numerous radio plays and other radio works (eg: "Operation LiIthos" (2017)). Sound installations, e.g. B. "Heim @ klingt" (2015), children's radio plays, theater and film music (eg: "Lunik" (2006/2007) and "Je voudrais être légère" (dance theater, Marseille 2008/2009)). Since 1989 he has been one of the two artistic directors of the “ Unheard music ” concert series in Berlin. From 2006 to 2012 he also worked as managing director of the Initiative Neue Musik Berlin . Since 2009 more exhibitions, e.g. B. “art forum berlin”, “artefiera bologna”, “art brussels”, “art amsterdam”, “Galerie Mario Mazzoli”.
Daske has CD publications at Audiom.at (Poland), WERGO , edel-records , Hörverlag , Hörcompany , DAV, Massive Bass (Warner / Chappell) and Baumhaus Verlag . He lives as a freelance composer, author, director and producer in Berlin.
