Martin Ditt

Martin Ditt ( 1. May 1810 in Frankfurt am Main - October 15 . Jul / 27. October  1860 greg. In Riga ) was a German theater actor .

Life

Ditt was only a typesetter and made his debut in 1840 at the municipal theater in his hometown, where he was initially only employed in small roles. In 1833 he went to Trier, worked from 1834 to 1836 in Freiburg, from 1836 to 1839 in Mainz, from 1839 to 1841 in Breslau, from 1841 to 1850 in Danzig and from 1850 to 1860 in Riga (with the exception of 1856 in Reval) . Ditt, who played youthful heroes and lovers at the beginning of his stage career, successfully switched to heroism in 1855. Retired from the stage in 1860 and died on 15/27. October in Riga.

His brothers were the singers Carl Ditt and Franz Ditt .
