Martin Goldenbaum
Martin Goldenbaum (born September 29, 1978 in Waren (Müritz) ) is a German musician, singer and songwriter .
Life
Goldenbaum grew up in Malchow with his two sisters. Until 1995 he attended the Johann Wolfgang von Goethe School in Malchow and completed an apprenticeship as a car mechanic after the 10th grade . In 1995 he began with his first musical attempts, from which the punk band "Bigos" (1996-2001) emerged. Concerts all over Germany followed, two albums and an EP were released. After training as a driving instructor in 1999, he then worked in his parents' driving school, where he trained boat driving students. He did his community service in the hospital in Plau am See . He later worked as a car mechanic in Amsterdam and most recently as a deckhand and sailor for a Berlin shipping company . Goldenbaum has lived in Berlin since 2002 .
In Berlin he started a new musical beginning as a songwriter. He plays concerts nationwide, released his albums under the stage name “Martingo” and is co-founder of the Berlin reading stage “Die Lesershow”. In April 2008 he founded the record label "Gold und Tier" with his colleague Johanna Zeul .
Martin Goldenbaum has been a founding member, singer, guitarist and songwriter of the German rock band Brenner since 2017 .
