Johanna Zeul (born June 2, 1981 in Filderstadt ) is a German singer and songwriter . She is the daughter of the songwriter Thomas Felder .

Life

Zeul has been giving concerts since 1996, since 2001 also with the band Rotagila , which was renamed the Johanna Zeul Band in 2003 . From 2003 to summer 2006 Johanna Zeul studied "Pop Music Design" at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg . She composed the music for “Max und Moritz” (a musical theater piece for adults), which premiered on January 6, 2007 at the Nationaltheater Mannheim .

In April 2008 Johanna Zeul founded the Gold und Tier label with Martin Goldenbaum . In June 2008, Johanna Zeul's debut album Album No1 was released on the Gold and Tier label. The song contained on it I want something new took 10th place on the best songs list in March and April 2009 .

In January 2011, a daughter was born with her partner Frank Benz, an actor at the Magdeburg Theater .

On February 12th, 2012 she took part in the final of the protest song contest in the Vienna Rabenhoftheater , where she took 4th place with her song I want something new .

As the representative of the state of Saxony-Anhalt , Johanna Zeul took part in the Bundesvision Song Contest 2012 in Berlin with the song Sandmann on September 28, 2012 and achieved 15th place.
