review

The style and the musical repertoire Felder was found for example in the features section of the Hohenlohe newspaper the following section:

“In the course of three decades he has developed an unmistakable style, has matured from the songwriter archetype Dylanscher stamping to the dialect poet who plays with a wide range of stylistic and emotional means of expression. Artistically more of a pioneer than a mirror, influenced by folk , blues , jazz and church choirs , Felder ensures musical diversity on seven instruments. In addition to guitar , harmonica , piano and drum, he elicits floating spherical sounds from the 38-string monochord , tears raging runs out of the hurdy-gurdy , makes them cheer and moan, roars in his trombone and makes both sound like a host of whales. Wortwerker Felder opens windows into new linguistic landscapes, opens up unfamiliar perspectives and worlds of hearing. The apparently meaningless flow into meaning, and standstill becomes movement. "

During Felder's lecture, the judge and the assessors left the meeting room with the words "The language of the court is German and not sung".

Thomas Felder, like the approximately 300 other accused participants in the blockade, was sentenced to a fine before and after him. The judgments were overturned in 1995 after several constitutional complaints , after the Federal Constitutional Court the broad interpretation ("overstretching") of the concept of violence in coercion paragraph 240 StGB for sitting blockades - carried out in the manner as before the Gulf nuclear weapons camp - as being in contradiction to the principle of certainty of the Basic Law , and the Convictions had thus been deemed unconstitutional.

“On New Year's Eve 2000, I met a group of helpers at the Jewish cemetery in Buttenhausen. We took the stakes from the roadside, planted daffodil bulbs in the holes and carried the wood into the cemetery area. Below the last graves, near the western exit, we erected a new, temporary memorial on behalf of the Israelite religious community of Baden-Württemberg. The 109 names are now in a four-fold circle with the radius of a stake length (1m) close together. The geometry of the installation is based on Jewish symbolism: the outer circle has thirty-six names, the inner twenty-four names. They stand in relation to one another in such a way that every sixth in the outer circle and every fourth inside mark the points or tangent centers of the Star of David. This of course remains hidden from the uninitiated observer. The two intermediate circles have three times seven and four times seven, so together seven times seven names. "
