Martin Hagen (politician, 1970)

Martin Hagen (born November 28, 1970 in Berlin ) is a German political scientist and has been a member of the State Council ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) in Bremen's financial administration since August 2020 . He is the successor to Hans-Henning Lühr .

Life

From 1977 Hagen attended schools in Oldenburg and in 1990 passed the Abitur at Eversten Oldenburg High School . After completing his civil service, he began studying political science and German at the University of Hamburg in 1991, graduating in May 1997 with a degree in political science. 1997–2001 he was a research associate at the University of Bremen in the telecommunications research group and received his doctorate in 2001 with a thesis on “A reference model for online transaction systems in e-government”. He then became a consultant for e-government at the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, Senator for finances. In 2011 he became Head of Central IT Management and E-Government, Senator for Finance, Free Hanseatic City of Bremen and in 2017 Head of Central IT Management, Digitalization of Public Services, Senator for Finance, Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. In 2020 he was appointed Councilor of State.
