Martin Krüger (basketball coach)

Martin Krüger (born August 20,  1957 ) is a German basketball coach .

career

Krüger led VBC 69 Paderborn in the 1983/84 season as head coach for promotion to the 2nd basketball league . The teacher for German and sport at the Reismann-Gymnasium in Paderborn was in the course of his further coaching career in the junior division of the VBC successor club Paderborn Baskets  , held the post of base coach of the West German Basketball Association, coordinated the sports classes at the Reismann-Gymnasium, supervised the as head coach Men's team of TV Salzkotten in the second division as well as in the regional league and was assistant coach of the Paderborn team in the 2nd Bundesliga. After Thomas Glasauer's dismissal , Krüger, who was nicknamed "Sir" in basketball circles, took over as head coach of the Paderborn Baskets in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA at the end of January 2013 and remained in office until 2014. At the beginning of the 2016/17 season, he became assistant coach of Uli Naechster , who had once been his assistant, in Paderborn .
