He played for TSV Speyer in the 2nd basketball league and later also ran for DJK Würzburg (belonged to the promotion team of the 1997/98 season around Dirk Nowitzki , Demond Greene  and Robert Garrett ) and TSV Ansbach in this division. In the 2000/01 season he played for the Würzburg team in the basketball league.

Like his father, Glasauer, who studied business administration at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg , embarked on a career as a coach and was an assistant coach on the Würzburg staff from 1997 to 2005, most of the time in the top division. In addition, he took on tasks in the youth sector. In 2005 he moved to the Oldenburg TB , where he became the head coach of the men's team in the 1st regional league and the U19 team in the youth basketball league and head of the youth department. In 2010 he left Oldenburg and switched to the Paderborn Baskets youth network. Glasauer became the full-time junior coach of Paderborn and acted as head coach of the regional league men's team of TV Salzkotten , in which Paderborn talents were introduced to higher tasks. In November 2010, he was promoted to head coach of the Paderborn Baskets in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA after the club split from Artur Gacaev due to a series of defeats . At the end of January 2013 Glasauer was dismissed in Paderborn because the team threatened to miss the class.

Glasauer coached TV 1862 Langen in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB in the 2013/14 season , and in the 2014/15 season he took up the position of coach at the Luxembourg first division club AB Contern. At the beginning of December 2014, the club parted ways with Glasauer after a negative series of only one win out of eleven games. He then withdrew from the professional field and settled with his family near Oldenburg. In 2015 he took over the coaching position for the men's team of the Bürgerfelder TB in the 2nd regional league. During the summer break of 2019, he became the new head coach of the women's second division Qool Sharks Würzburg .
