Martin Lundgaard Hansen (born October 11, 1972 ) is a badminton player from Denmark .

Career

Lundgaard and Jens Eriksen became European champions in men's doubles in 2002. They successfully defended this title in 2004 and 2006.

Lundgaard took part in the 2004 Summer Olympics with his partner Jens Eriksen . In the men's doubles, Hansen and Eriksen had a bye in the first round, in the second they defeated Howard Bach and Kevin Han from the USA . In the quarter-finals, Hansen and Eriksen beat Fu Haifeng and Cai Yun from China with 3:15, 15:11, 15: 8. They lost in the semifinals to Lee Dong-soo and Yoo Yong-sung from South Korea with 9:15, 15: 5, 15: 3 and also the match for the bronze medal against Eng Hian and Flandy Limpele from Indonesia with 15:13, 15: 7 to eventually finish fourth.
