Fu Haifeng ( Chinese 傅海峰 , Pinyin Fù Hǎifēng ; born January 2, 1984 in Huilai , Jieyang , Guangdong Province , People's Republic of China ) is a Chinese badminton player .
Athletic career
Fu took part in the 2004 Olympics for China with his partner Cai Yun in men's doubles. They had a bye in the first round and faced Keita Masuda and Tadashi Ohtsuka from Japan in the second round . In the quarter-finals Fu and Cai lost to Jens Eriksen and Martin Lundgaard Hansen from Denmark with 3:15, 15:11, 15: 8. However, the two won the final in the men's doubles at the Badminton Swiss Open this year.
In 2005 Fu won the German Open in men's doubles together with his partner Cai Yun .
Haifeng holds the unofficial world speed record in one fell swoop on June 3, 2005. Airspeed was measured at 332 km / h, which makes badminton the fastest sport in the world.
