Martin Reichmann
Martin Reichmann (born November 29, 1907 in Pfohren ; † June 12, 2000 in Immenhöfe ) was a German politician .
Life
Martin Reichmann was the oldest of six children in a farming family. In 1925/26 he attended the newly founded agricultural school and became a milk control assistant . He was a member of the NSDAP ( membership number 1,243,219 , entry date August 1, 1932) and became mayor of Pfohren in 1933. From 1934 he worked as a clerk in the agricultural administration. He married in 1936 and had four children. After participating in the war from 1939 to 1945, he returned from captivity in 1946. Since 1947 he worked as a self-employed farmer and was active in agricultural policy, from 1958 deputy chairman of the FDP's southern Baden agricultural committee. For the FDP he moved into the German Bundestag from 1961 to 1969 via the state list. He was considered a recognized agricultural expert and worked for many years in the municipal and local council even after leaving the Bundestag.
