Martin Rogers

Martin Hartley Guy Rogers (born June 11, 1925 - December 28, 2012 ) was a British diplomat .

Life

Martin Rogers was dispatched to the West African Gambia in 1975 by the Wilson government as British High Commissioner , replacing James RW Parker . His tenure in Gambia ended in 1979, and he was succeeded in Gambia by Eric N. Smith .

family

Martin Rogers was the son of Rev. Canon T. Guy Rogers and Marguerite Inez Rogers. He married Jean Beresford Chinn in 1959. From this marriage came a son and three daughters.
