Martin Rosik

Martin Rosik (born February 27, 1901 in Velbert ; † June 7, 1955 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

education and profession

After attending primary school, Rosik completed an apprenticeship as a molding machine and worked as a molding machine until 1939. From 1939 to 1942 he was a foreman and from 1942 as a technical employee. In 1945 he became a board member of IG Metall and in 1953 chairman of the representative assembly of the mechanical engineering and small iron industry trade association .

politics

Rosik joined the SPD in 1914. In 1945 he became a member of the Velbert City Council, became SPD local chairman in Velbert in 1947 and was mayor of Velbert from August 1947 to December 1950 and again from November 1952 until his death.

He was a member of the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament from July 13, 1954 to June 7, 1955 .
