Martin Schostak

Martin Schostak (born December 28, 1965 in Berlin ) is a German doctor and professor , as well as professor of urology at the Magdeburg University Hospital . He is the director of the urological clinic at the university hospital.

His clinical focus is on radical tumor surgery of the prostate , urinary bladder and kidney , the therapy of advanced tumors and salvage therapy.

He is an expert in focal therapy for various organs and chairman of the working group for focal therapy at the Academy of the German Society for Urology .

In his research laboratory, Prof. Schostak deals with molecular detection and prognosis parameters in prostate , kidney and bladder cancer .

Life

Martin Schostak received his doctorate in 1996 from the Charité Berlin and completed his specialist training in urology in 1996. From 2001 to 2009 he was senior physician and senior physician at the Urological Clinic at Charité Berlin under the direction of Kurt Miller. From 2009 to 2011 he was Deputy Clinic Director there. In 2011 Schostak was appointed to the chair of urology and is director of the clinic for urology and pediatric urology at the Magdeburg University Hospital , which is part of the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg .
