Martin Vincentz (born April 22, 1986 in Tönisvorst-Sankt Tönis ) is a German doctor and politician of the Alternative for Germany (AfD). In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2017 , he was elected to the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

education and profession

After elementary school and high school in Krefeld , Martin Vincentz studied human medicine at the University of Cologne , where he received his license to practice medicine in the summer of 2013 . He then worked as an assistant doctor in internal medicine at the Maria Hilf Hospital in Krefeld. Vincentz received his doctorate in cancer research in February 2015 and has been a general practitioner since January 2019.

politics

Martin Vincentz has been an AfD member in the Krefeld district association since 2014 and has been health policy spokesman for the AfD in North Rhine-Westphalia since autumn 2015 . He is also the deputy spokesman for the AfD district association in Krefeld. In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2017 , he ran at number twelve on the state list and was thus elected to the state parliament.

Personal

Martin Vincentz is Catholic and married to a doctor from France. He was active in fencing and in 2003/4 was 35th in the German ranking of men in epee fencing ; at times he was among the 32 best in the ranking.
