Martin Zach (born January 4, 1933 in Bad Tölz , † September 27, 2008 in Alaska , USA ) was a German ice hockey striker . He was the brother of Hans Zach .

Career

From 1949 to 1959 Zach played for the EC Bad Tölz in the ice hockey league and later in the ice hockey Bundesliga . In 177 appearances for the ECT, the attacker scored 129 goals. During this time he took part in the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo , Italy, as a member of the German national team. He completed a total of eleven missions for the national team between 1953 and 1956, including seven in the course of the Olympic ice hockey tournament.

After finishing his active career, Zach took over his parents' butcher's shop in Bad Tölz . He died on September 27, 2008 at the age of 75 while on a fishing trip in the US state of Alaska .
